Inversnaid Supplement

Why does an Inversnaid supplement apply?

Inversnaid is one of the most remote and logistically challenging locations on the West Highland Way for baggage transfer services.

Due to limited road access around Loch Lomond, delivering luggage to Inversnaid requires a significant vehicle diversion compared to the normal route between walking stages.

For this reason, a £15 per bag supplement applies whenever an Inversnaid accommodation is selected as part of your itinerary.

Why is the delivery route longer?

While walkers travel directly along the eastern shoreline of Loch Lomond, vehicles cannot follow the same route.

To deliver and later collect luggage from Inversnaid, our drivers must travel a much longer road journey around the loch and back again, resulting in approximately:

  • 100 additional driving miles
  • significantly increased fuel and operating costs
  • additional driver time and scheduling requirements

This supplement helps cover the extra logistics involved in servicing this remote location.
